Yahoo has finally admitted that all three billion user accounts were hacked in August 2013 making it the biggest data theft ever!

With the assistance of forensic experts, Yahoo updated the initial one billion figure to three.  It means anyone who uses Yahoo would have had their details exposed.  Yahoo have previously admitted that hackers stole names, email addresses, encrypted passwords, birthdays and phone numbers.  It has however confirmed that no bank card details were stolen.

At the time Yahoo advised people to change their passwords and security questions immediately though this would have had little impact.  This revelation puts Yahoo further into deep water and leaves the company exposed along with it’s credibility.
